Submission for GMTK Game Jam 2024 - Built for Scale

Search nearby caves to gather scales that bolster either your defenses or speed, and use them to upgrade your mech.  Return to the outpost so that your mechanic can apply the upgrades.

In the vein of building something to "scale", or act as a scale, I thought of who might need scales.   Well, what if you were a lizard without scales, and to deal with their absence, you instead had a mech to offer you the protection that you lack?

Looking into lizard scales, it looks like there are scales that help with physical protection, or are better suited to movement.  Hence the 2 types.
